Hi all

On Sunday 7th May we will be hosting the under 9 presentation event at Wolverhampton University.

Given that there will be 47 teams attending over the morning, car parking may be more of an issue than on a usual Sunday morning.

The university has plenty of parking on campus, please only park in designated bays and do not cause inconvenience for other users of the campus.

Many thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Wolverhampton University Mini Soccer Centre.

This a notice for all teams who will be at our Mini Soccer Centre based at Wolverhampton University from this Sunday, 30th October.

Firstly although the centre is at Wolverhampton University, please note this is the Walsall Campus.

To access the site and the designated car park, please enter off Broadway (A4148) via Magdalene Road (Do not approach via Gorway). This is opposite Walsall Golf Club. You turn into Magdalene Road at the traffic lights and head between the houses until you arrive at the campus gates. If you use WS1 3TA postcode you will be in the right area.

We will be using the car park immediately on the left as you enter the campus, please do not try to park beyond the barrier unless there is a specific mobility issue. There is ample car parking, but please do try to park with consideration for others. Can I ask that under no circumstances should you park on the access roads. This has been stipulated by the university following previous complaints made by local residents.

We will be using the new 3G pitches and the entrance to  pitches is in front of the Sports Centre and the team registration desk will be located there.

We have a very good quality and competitively priced food outlet providing tea, coffee, bacon and sausage  baps and sweets etc throughout the morning.

Toilets are in the main sports centre at the back of the new 3G pitch. Can you please ensure all players remove boots as they enter the sports centre.

I will email detailed guidance about footwear to managers, but basically, no metal studs or blades and flat training shoes are not recommended. It is best to use a moulded stud or boot designed specifically for this surface. This is the same for all 3G pitches. All footwear must be clean before entering the playing area, cleaning facilities are by the entrance.

Only players and coaches will be allowed on the playing areas, there are spectator areas provided for everyone else.

Dogs are not allowed onto this site.

Could you please pass this on to anyone who is coming on Sunday and I look forward to welcoming you all to the centre.

Best wishes

Clyde Redfern, Centre Manager

Car Parking At Charlemont Playing Fields

We have been advised by local residents that parking bays behind the flats are for residents only. If non residents are found to be parking in residential spaces clamps may be enforced. We are advising all visitors / parents to park over by the community centre.

Car Parking - Please Car Share Where Possible

Please share share, the more people that know the correct parking the easier the car parking will flow.

Many Thanks all for your help
